A few years ago, I decided to create a blog to catalog web resources available in my primary research area of folkloristics. This site, The Folklorist's Web Handbook (http://folklorehandbook.blogspot.com) has been a great asset to use with my students, a good way to catalog links to important resources, and just a lot of fun to assemble. So, as an Americanist, I though I would begin doing the same thing for American Studies resources as well. My list is pretty barebones at the moment, so please feel free to send me suggestions for journals, departments, research organizations, blogs, websites, video, or multimedia content that I have missed but I should include!
